**T-Ball players will receive a t-shirt & hat included with registration. Baseball pants are recommended but are optional in this division only. If you need baseball socks, they will be available at Maplewood anytime the office or concession stand is open (one complimentary pair per player, if needed).
**Coach Pitch, Minors, & Majors players will receive a jersey, hat, & baseball socks included with registration. Parents are responsible for purchasing solid gray baseball pants (mandatory in these age divisions), a belt (if needed) and cleats (NO metal cleats allowed).
**NEW***
Coach Pitch, Minors, and Majors - this year all players will receive a fully sublimated jersey. As soon as we have some mocked up, we will share those on our social platforms as well as our website. These will have team names on the front, Puritas logo on one sleeve, a nod to our longtime Commissioner, the late Tom Burke on the other sleeve, and as usual we will still have our great sponsors proudly displayed above the numbers on the back of the jerseys.
EQUIPMENT:
The league supplies an equipment bag to all teams...included in the bag are bats, practice balls, and catcher's gear (except in the T-Ball division). Many parents purchase bats for their child.
League rules regarding bats are as follows:
For Coach Pitch, Minor Hardball, & Major Hardball - Barrel width limit is 2 3/4" max. Bats must carry the "USSSA 1.15 BPF" logo or the "USA Baseball" logo. Bats approved by USA Baseball will not have 1.15 BPF logo since they are already manufactured as a reduced injury bat. There is no limit on the length/weight ratio.
For T-Ball - The bat must state "T-Ball" or "For T-Ball Use" or something along those lines.
Due to health and safety concerns, all players will need to supply their own helmets. There are no rules regarding color, and a facemask is permitted but not required. Attachable jaw guards are also permitted but not required. Helmets must be stamped with the national safety seal (NOCSAE) in the back. Players will not be permitted to use helmets of other players.
